HOTEL GRAHAM  Second and Market Streets, Newport - This was the second hotel built in Newport. The first hotel was built by Ephraim Bosserman in 1825 on Market Street and was kept by Samual Sipe. The Graham Hotel was operated by  a Mr. Orris from 1912 to 1015. Bar room door in center. Business was discontinued in 1917 and the building was made into apartments and a meeting room for the Masonic Lodge. Now [in 1987] houses CCNB,  Comps, The Port Clothing Store. The wooden building facing Market St. was used as a room for traveling salesmen to display their wares, business people from over Perry County came to place orders.
