PERRY COUNTY FAIR GROUNDS, NEWPORT - The fair which was held on these grounds was organized in the late 1800s, during the early 1940's it was discontinued. During this period Perry County School Field Meets were held. In 1971, a group reorganized and Fairs have been held each year since that time.
