U.S. Army Training Camp, C0. F of the 3rd Regiment National Guard of Pennsylvania. This camp was setup May 2, 1917 with 39 trainees. When they broke camp August 14 there were 126 men with 18 tents and a cooking bungalow. Their duties were to guard the bridges, tunnels and canal locks west of the Susquehanna River. Present site of Newport High School.
