of Frederick and Margaret Lambert Leiby. Extensive landowner,
businessman and farmer. Western traveler. First storekeeper in Newport
1832. First burgess of Newport 1840. An incorporator of the Perry Co.
Mutual Fire Insurance Co. 1843. He boarded the first train that passed
through Newport and rode to Millerstown. Member of the Reformed Church. |
