Was she Jame's first wife?

Winfield Scott BLAIN was born 1846 in Juniata Township and died 1935 in Markelsville, and buried in Markelsville Cemetery. In 1870, at Markelsville, he married Mary Ann Crist. Mary Ann Crist was born 1842 in Tuscarora Township and died 1914and buried in Markelsville Cemetery.. They had four children:

Harriet Hulda BLAINE b: 1871 in Marklesville, Perry Co, PA, died 1948

Note: the spelling has been changed to BLAINE!

David Crist BLAINE (son of Winfield Scott Blain and Mary Ann Crist) was born 1878 in Juniata Township, and died 1970. In 1911 he married Stella Mae Noll  in Walkerville, Fredrick Co, MD . Stella was born 1891 in Altoona. Stella was twenty years old and thirteen years young than David. They had two children:

James Lester BLAINE born about 1912 and married Pearle Wridder.
Leona , born after 1912 . Leona married Elwood Duncon and lives in ??

--------The following was gathered from old deeds and talking with surviving Blain relaatives

In 1915 Stella Blaine bought the two Tracts that Margaret Foose bought from J. T. Baker's heirs in 1903 for the consideration of $1226.67.  M. E. Flickinger acted as executor for deceased Margaret Foose. Tract No. 1 was seven acres containing two-story frame dwelling,, stable and other out buildings.Tract No.2 was nine acres on the north side of Middle Ridge. The conveyance was subject to the following:

"During the lifetime of William I. Foose, the surviving husband of the said Margate Foose, shall have the right to use, occupy and enjoy for his own personal use the south east room, on the second floor of the dwelling house erected on tract No. 1. The right, during the same period, to use, occupy and enjoy the carpenter shop on the same tract, but allowing the said Stella Noll Blaine, her heirs and assigns to stove goods in said shop but in such way as not to discommode the said William I. Foose in the use of said building as a work shop."

At this time, William Foose ( b.1840-1926) was seventy-five years old. Just how much longer would he live? Did he lived with the Blaines until 1926, when he died,  ? So David, Stella Blaine, their two children, and William Foose lived in the house.

The Blaine family continued to lived there until 1965. At some point in time David Blaine lost his eye-sight. This apparently did not inhibit him from life. David maintained the furnaces at St. John's Lutheran Church (the brick church) across the road.. He and Stella sold home-made ice cream from the "Summer Kitchen", below the carpenter shop. This summer kitchen was used to store ice for community use during the warm months..

Stella Blaine died in 1961. By her will she directed that her husband, David, should have a life estate in her real estate, and at upon her death she devised her real estate to Leona Duncan and James Lester Blaine. The property was sold in 1965 to the Roberts.

James Lester BLAINE ( Lester Blaine) was born ca. 1912, and died <1964 in Juniata Township. In 1933. Lester Blaine married Pearl Wridder from Willa. By this time Wm. Foose had died. Lester and Pearl Blaine continued to live in the Blaine home. Did David & Stella Blaine also live there? Father, David Blaine, was only 55 and Stella was 42. Leona, Lester's sister, was probably married and gone.

Lester's and Pearl's daughter, Dorothy, married Earle Myers (Earle's aunt lives in Ohio, which are decendents of the Markelsville Meyers). Dorothy said her son was married 1969, and daughter married 1970 in the Lutheran Church just before the church closed it's doors.

David Blaine died  in 1970 at the age of 92 years Today Pearl Blaine lives in Newport

Note: Pearl's sister, Anna Wridder married Roy Campbell who livedon the north side of Big Buffalo Creek. Pearl talks about she and her sister living on either side of the creek, raising their children together.

Thus ends the Blaines in Markelsville.

Was Dorothy Blaine the daughter of Lester & Pearl Blaine? When were her children born? Who was married at the Lutheran Church?

Did Lester & Pearl Blaine have any children other than Dorothy?

Dorothy Blaine Myers said her son and daughter were married in 1969 and 1970 at St Johns' Luther Church prior to the church closing its doors? When were they born?
