Whitekettle marries Myers!
Elizabeth Whitekettle married Edward Myers BUT it is unknown who Elizabeth’s parents
were. Thus starts the beginning of the Whitekettle ancestory. Elizabeth was born December 8, 1842 and died
in 1910. Edward Myer (son of Philip Myers & Sarah) was born in 1844 in
Newport, and died in 1904. They lived in Juniata Township and both buried at
St. John’s Church.

ANDREW SHOVER WHITEKETTLE was born February 9, 1838, and died 1911.On November 5, 1863. He married LYDIA ANN SMITH/SCHMIDT (daughter of CATHERINE MYERS and JONAS SMITH/SCHMIDT) who was born July 26, 1842, and died June 1, 1930 in Juniata Twp. Perry Co. Pa. During the Civel War, Andrew Whitekettle was mustered in 13 Aug 1862, mustered out [with unknown company} 21 May 1863.

Andrew S. Whitekettle, preceeded Geo. Markel (1856), as storekeeper of the general store and postoffice. In 1886 he acquired Bosserman’s Mill [originally McNamera’s Mill in the 1790s], from David Bixler.

was employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad for 35 years, first in the
