They had three sons and one daughter. Only their daughter had children. His father, Christopher BEISTLEIN 1758-1823, died in in Juniata Twp. Perry Co. Pa. His grandfather, Andreas BISTLINE, was born 1738 in Germany. His mother was Maria Frantz. Samuel was one of eight children. He was the only one to change the spelling of the family surname. His five brothers and two sisters remianed Beistleins.
