Apparently there's the Conrad Comp b. 1775 and Jacob Comp
b. 1785 ancestors: Now they may have been brothers.
Conrad COMP (1797-1873) was the son of a Conrad Comp who was born in
1775. www.rootsweb.com lists their birth
and death places as "Perry, PA, USA". It seems logical that it was
meant to be Perry County. Conrad's wife was Esther Agein Comp, born in 1797. Their
only child was Conrad O. Comp.
Jacob Comp , Sr. (1785-1870) and his wife, Margaret (1785-1852) are both buried in Markelsville Cemetery [St. John's Churchyard is located in Markelsville, Juniata Township; on Rte. 849 West in Pennsylvania]. Their son, Jacob Comp, Jr. was born in 1820.
Jacob Comp , Jr.
(1820-1885) married a girl named Mary who was
born 1830 in Germany. They had two daughters, Annie and Barbara; and two sons, William Henry and George W. There is a Jacob Comp
(1829-1885) and George W. Comp buried at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Look at the census
shown below:

Andrew Comp (b. 1815) and his wife, Margery Comp (b. 1810) were the parents of Rev. George L. Comp (b. 1848) and probably Jacob S. Comp, b. 1846 and Nancy Comp (b. 1851)
Conrad O. COMP (1832-1896) On October 14, 1869 he married Emma Rebecca Kell in Carlise. Emma was born 1851 in "Ickesburg, Perry, PA, USA [obviously Perry Co.] Apparently they lived in Seville, Perry Co. where their daughter, Sarah Ellen Comp was born in 1876. Sarah married Henry Johnston McChesney, who was born 1873 in "Allport, Clearfield, PA, USA". They were married 23 MAR 1913 in State College, Centre, PA. Sarah was 37 years old when she married. She and her husband lived and died in Centre, PA., and had no children. Conrad and Emma Comp are buried in the Markelsville Cemetery (St. John's).
William Henry Comp (1847-1902) was the son of Jacob Comp. He was born 26 NOV 1847 in Juniata Township, PA. He married Margaret E. Minnich, b: 2 JUN 1858 in Tuscarora Twp., PA. They had five children. Minnie Adeline was born 1872 in Centre Township, Perry Co. Cora Elizabeth Mary was born 1873 in Juniata Township - Perry Co. Then they moved to Duncannon where they had three more children between 1874 and 1879. It should be noted that Cora (Comp) Casey lived to be 107 years old!
William Henry Comp was a highly respected citizen of Duncannon, PA. He was killed instantly on the railroad at the turn of the mountain east of that place. He was a track watchman and was run down by a freight train while making his last trip for the morning. He had been in the employ of the Pennsylvania Railroad Company about ten years and in the capacity of watchman since August 1900. He was much appreciated by his superior officers for his faithfulness and efficiency. He was a member of Lutheran Church for 31 years, and a member of Perry Council, No. 57, O.U.A. M. of Duncannon, PA. He died 17 JAN 1902 in Duncannon, Perry County. PA. and buried at the Lutheran Cemetery at Duncannon.
Rev. George Leiby COMP 1848 1916 Here's what H. H. Hain writes: "Rev. Geo. Leiby Comp, the son of Andrew and Margery (Miller) Comp, was born near Walnut Grove 1848. He attended local schools, and when fifteen years old ran away from home to enter the Union Army. His father brought him back, but he later enlisted as a member of the Emergency Corps and reached Gettysburg after the battle was fought, but assisted in restoring the field from the havoc of war. In 1864 he reenlisted in Company G, 208th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteers, and served to the end of the war. He then farmed the Comp homestead until 1889, when he entered the ministry of the Methodist Episcopal Church.... On account of his health he retired from ministry in 1914. He died at Newport 1916. He married Ester Jacobs and the had two sons: Jacob born 1876 and Andrew born 1886. Both sons became ministers.
George W. Comp (1851-1917) was the son of Jacob Comp and brother of William Henry Comp. He and his wife, Jane, are buried at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
