On Aug 7, 1840 they were given a deed by Mark Bealor for two and one-half perches over one-half acre, for consideration of one dollar. This land was used to expand the cemetery. After assisting a physician perform an operation at Petersburg, Huntington County, November 2, 1905, he started home in his carriage. Kind hands conveyed him into a neighboring farmhouse, and in a few minutes he expired."
