Public Relations Committee - (1) Achieve positive recognition of NRPS’s mission and goals by residents of the Newport area.
Establish public relations program.
Develop and implement a speaker’s
bureau.
Facilitate positive and regular use of
area media.
Enhance working relationships with media
representatives.
Promote networking with community organizations.
Churches,
clubs, museums, and other service organizations.
Government, educational, and other civic entities.
Provide NRPS liaison to Borough Council.
Develop promotional brochures and maps.(4.1.1.1)
Provide
a walking map of the Borough and brochure of the downtown area and businesses
and services.
Provide
map of greater Newport and its business and services.
Network with county and regional development organizations. (Public Relations Committee and Board
Events Committee- (2) Promote community spirit and pride in greater Newport.
Sponsor public programs and events.
Conduct the Annual Christmas House Tour.
Create a photographic and textural database of historical structures and publicize.
Community Development Committee- (3)
Facilitate the implementation of physical improvements to the Newport Streetscape Enhancement Project area.
Facilitate the implementation of the first phase of the Streetscape Enhancement Project.
Encourage support of the Comprehensive Plan by the Newport Community.
Assist Borough in obtaining funding to cover costs.
Continue as resources to permit a Façade Improvement Program.
Continue to explore preservation of the Railroad Station.
Encourage development of public amenities. Restrooms,
Benches, Kiosk
Support Borough economic development initiatives. (4)
Encourage a focus on an historical and cultural identity of the Newport area.
Develop and promote installation of positive signage.
Develop and utilize paid and free advertisements.
Explore designation of Borough or Streetscape

Planning and Finance Committee-
Review and revise the committee structure to meet growing organizational needs(5.4)
Include members on committees
Conduct an annual organizational review and a policy and procedures evaluation (5.5)

Establish budgets for the next three years.

Louise Beard Memorial
Standing committee of at least three members
Responsible for the care and oversight of the Louise Beard Memorial Building and its contents
Ensure
that the usage of the building is in conformance with the wishes and
directives of the late Katherine L. Beard as outlined in her will and as
stated in the Articles of Incorporation of the Louise Beard Memorial.
Board of Directors
Ensure the organization viability of NRI.
