Welfley - was previously Gower's, Bosserman's Drug Store and Soda Fountain, state liquor store, and at one time, the location of the post office. After the flood of ’36 Mr. Bosserman moved his pharmacy three doors south to this building. Bosserman Drug Store remained until the early 50’s when Mr. Earl Gower purchased the pharmacy and it became Gower’s Pharmacy. In 1971 it became Welfley Pharmacy! Welfley Pharmacy has been owned and operated by Bill and Pat Welfley for more than 29 years. Continuing in the small town tradition, Welfley Pharmacy will remain an independent operation with emphasis on the same individual, personal care customers have known for over 40 years. Bill and Pat retired as of October 5, 2000. The new owners, Barbara, Robert and William Wilson are from a family of more than three generations of pharmacists.
